Hello.

I’m Robert.

I’ve been working in e-commerce for more than 20 years. I connect business, technology and people, turning ideas, requirements and a reasonable amount of chaos into things that actually work.

I live in Poznań, Poland.

Away from work, I take pictures, sail, keep old cars alive and try to remember that life is bigger than the next project to deliver.

Now

I run e-commerce projects.

I experiment with analytics, automation and AI.

I’m getting back into sailing.

I keep an old GMC Safari alive.

I take photographs when I remember to bring a camera.

And I try to spend more time doing things that make sense.

My flat is being renovated and everything else has to wait. The first thing I’ll do after the renovation is write a crime novel about plasterers… I’ll tell you the ending: everybody dies.

Things

E-commerce

My work for more than two decades. Projects, integrations, data, B2B and B2C commerce and solving problems nobody expected when the project started.

GMC Safari

I bought myself an old American van for my birthday – on its last legs – it didn’t make it home from the previous owner under its own power. Once I got it roadworthy, I drove it Poznań – Glasgow – Poznań and I’m planning more trips (but only after the renovation and after writing the book about plasterers).

Photography

I love film photography because it demands focus and knowing the basics, and it’s a relaxing escape from my digital work. Manual cameras, developing in the kitchen and making prints on winter nights (on hold until the renovation is finished and the book about plasterers is written).

Sailing

I value the freedom that sails give you. I have an ambitious sailing plan, which I’ll carry out after the renovation and after writing the book about plasterers.
